Ingredients


Chili con carne (for 8 serving)

  • 1kg minced beef

  • 1 onion

  • 5 garlic

  • 800g canned whole tomato

  • 400g canned kidney bean

  • cayenne pepper powder

  • cumin powder

  • paprika powder

  • pepper

  • sugar

  • 1cup beef stock (optional)


Chili hot dog

  • Chili con carne

  • hot dog bread

  • sausage

  • cilantro

  • sour cream

  • pickled cucumber or pickled jalapeno

  • shredded cheese



 

How to make


Chili con carne (for 8 serving)

  1. Put oil on pan and put 1kg minced beef

  2. Cook minced beef over high heat until all sides are brown (for maillard, It probably takes 2~30 minutes)

  3. Dice 1 onion, 5 garlic

  4. If all sides are brown, put the meat aside, put the onion and garlic in the pan and cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes

  5. Put meat in pan and put 1 cup of beef stock or water

  6. Put 800g of canned tomato can, 400g of canned kidney bean, 1T cayenne pepper powder, 1T cumin seed or powder, 1T paprika powder, 1T sugar, pepper

  7. Boil in low heat for 90 minutes


Chili hot dog

  1. Stack it : bread -> sausage -> pickle -> chili con carne -> sour cream -> shredded cheese -> cilantro
