If you come to Korea, you will be able to see ho-tteok sold on the street. Ho-tteok is one of the most common street snack in Korea, So there is various variations. But this recipe is basic and common version Ho-tteok.
Recipe
Ingredients (6~7 pieces)
Bread flour (replaceable with AP flour)
Dry yeast
Sugar
Oil
Nuts (I used peanut)
Cinnamon
How to make
Mix 1t yeast, 200g lukewarm water, 20g sugar, 1T oil, 250g flour
Knead for 3 minute with spatula
Ferment for 1 hour
Crush the 50g nuts and mix with 70g sugar(if you have brown sugar, use it), 1t any flour, 1t cinnamon powder (filling)
After 1 hour, grease your hands and divide the dough into 6~7 pieces
Put filling in the dough and make it round like ball shape
Put the dough in greased pan
Cooking on medium heat for 3 minutes until golden brown
After 30 seconds of putting it in the pan, turn it flip and press it with any tool
